Great little pad! December 16, 2008
This thing is great! My cat was injured and has to be confined for a period of a couple months and I thought I'd get him something to make his "stay" a little more comfortable. This thing is great! If it were a little cheaper I'd get a second one for his brother. My only possible complaint is that the actual heating pad within the cushion is only about a third or a half the size of the cushion itself. It ends up being okay but it'd be nice if it were bigger.

We have an older cat and bought this to keep her comfortable in our new home. But with its postage-stamp-sized heating element, all this did was make us hot under the collar. The product got rocketed back to Amazon.

I was disappointed with the mat. I thought the picture was misleading. The heating element is only about 6" long and the faux suede mat itself is 24". I had to order KH's replacement heating pad that measures 19" to cover more of the area. My cat loves it but I thought for the price I would have gotten a heating element that covered more of the surface that my cat would be on.

I bought this for my aging kitties last days. She absolutely loved it and as time went by and she was getting skinnier this really helped her out. Now our other cat uses it every day and night. It is always plugged in and provides a nice square of heat inside the mat. We are in Southern California so it's not too cold here anyways but the cats love it. I highly recommend this product and could not find anything better or for less anywhere else. The heater core is half the size of the mat, but it works perfect! It uses very, very little energy. Oh the peacock feather - found some in Chinatown for a buck, best toy ever!

We bought two of these, because our upstairs is kind of cold. On sunny days Nicky Ellie could find some warm spots, but not on cloudy days or at night. Now they are toasty warm all the time - they just LOVE these pads!br /They only use 4 watts each, and they are engineered to not heat up much higher than the cat's natural body temperature, so they won't overheat. If you have cold cats, GET THESE - your little pals will thank you!!
