Broke on First Try, but I found one that does work August 27, 2008 I wanted this to work so badly but it broke on the first walk of a 25 pound dog. Please! I was going to give up completely on this concept until I found a seller on Ebay who makes such a high quality hands free leash I can't stop gushing about it. Go on Ebay and look for TJ's Custom Made Pet Supplies in the store's section. I shop enough on Amazon for them to deal with this referral to Ebay.
Good but not perfect August 17, 2008 I have a Siberian Husky that was inherently designed to pull. Initially I bought only the the buddy system without the bungee attachment but after a few runs I thought it would be worth the extra ten bucks. I love the overall system, however; there will always be some level of pulling depending on your dog. Even though the lunge buster significantly minimizes pulling I would not recommend it for avid runners with back problems. The pulling places some pain on your lower back. I guess you have to weigh the pain on your lower back versus your willingness to compromise your running form with a regular leash. Furthermore it is harder to control your dog because the bungee system is so flexible. Ultimately I am very happy with product.br /
Excellent resource for jogging with dogs! July 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved this product from the get-go! I got it when I started jogging and wanted to include my dogs (very high energy dogs; a beagle and a coonhound mix). Trying to jog with leashes in hand is difficult; the dogs kept getting conflicting signals from me, not to mention, they kept trying to stop and sniff. br /br /I finally got a recommendation to try this leash and I am so glad I did get this leash--I hooked my two up to this leash and had the first of many enjoyable walks, jogs, hikes, and runs with this hands-free leash. Not only is it better than holding leashes in hand, but whenever my coonhound mix would spot a squirrel, he could no longer yank me off balance because with the leash clipped to my waist, my whole center of gravity was different--I was balanced! (Plus, he learned that I was in charge!)br /br /I highly recommend this product. It takes some getting used to (at first, I felt out-of-control since I wasn't holding a leash!), and you will need to have your dogs trained to heel first, but once that's checked, this product is a blast! :-)
Love it. September 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my all time favorit leash. I looked everywhere for one and finally found it on Amazon. br /br /I have an 80 pound dog who is solid muscle. This leash works great with him... pulling is minimal because of the bungy attachment.
