very nice December 5, 2008
this product works great, but i didnt realize how BIG it is! it really doesnt fit in any private area, and it's not an attractive furniture piece i'd want on display in a common room. but other than that, my two cats took to it right away. they love watching the rake do its thing. one recomendation i have is to get the permascoop tray instead of trying to deal with the expensive flimsy cardboard trays.

We have 1 cat and have had this box for 2 months now. It has not given us any problem, our cat used it right away. She did find it odd that it moved from time to time so she spent a lot of time watching it for the first few days. We have been replacing the litter/tray every 3 weeks. There is no smell at all. It is easy to clean and the cat does not seem to track as much litter out of the box as she did with the old box. Replacement trays and litter are $13 at PetSmart, if you think about it that is not too bad. A bag of litter is $10 and I know we used more than 1 bag a month the old way. Some people say that it is loud and you do hear it run but I can't say that it is bad. I guess that depends on where it is located in you home. Ours is in the utility room so we never notice it when it runs.br /br /A+
Great automatic litter box December 3, 2008
I have 4 of these litter boxes (6 cats) and have used one for at least 2 years. Have never had a mechanical problem and the cats seem to take to them quite well. I used to feel that the refills were wasteful but that problem was solved when I found Forever Litter Trays, which are plastic trays that replace the cardboard ones. It definitely seems to work best with the Fresh Step crystal litter.

I have one 3 lb. kitten.The box and hood are great and the kitten likes the litter. But do not be fooled.....It doesn't handle odor the way other litter does! I still scoop everyday from under the cardboard lip.br /Before my Scoopfree came i was using a disposable box w/ litter (Cats Pride) Far superior litter! I will not be buying anymore replacement cartridges. I will use a permanent cartridge and fill w/ own litter. A waste of money!

thank god...it works! every two weeks i replace the cartridge and my cats (2) are happy. what a great product!
