Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This equine clipper has a new housing made from a new material that is virtually UNBREAKABLE, under normal working conditions! Powerful clipper with more than twice the power of the leading competitor to quickly and easily clip and groom your horse. Faster running with over 4,000 strokes per minute to power through both your horse's thick winter coat or just slight growth since the last clipping job. Glides through thick, coarse horse hair. Wider sweep allows for faster cutting. Compatible with A5 Cryotech Elite Cryotech blades and the wider Take-Down-Quick wide blade series.

4 out of 5 stars Oster, gets hot surprisingly fast   August 11, 2008

I'm surprised at all the reviews that say this clipper doesn't get hot. So far, I've only used it to shave my poodle's face and feet, and it got very hot. The whole barrel got hotter than the less fancy ones at the grooming salon. The blade got very hot and I was glad I bought a can of cool 'n lube spray. br /#10 blade performed well around feet but I'm going to get a size 7/8 blade for feet and face for easier detail work.

4 out of 5 stars Great Set of Clippers   June 27, 2008

After using these a couple of times on my long thick haired dog I am very pleased with the way they cut. I have tried cheaper sets purchased from pet stores but they would barely cut her hair. I would definitely recommend these.

5 out of 5 stars Very good clippers for multiple animal households   May 11, 2008

These are expensive, but worth it. I bought a $80 Andis model at Petsmart and they lasted six months. I have had these for almost a year, and with 3 dogs, and cat, they are great. Only downside is that they're too big for little faces ( I have 2 shih-tuz and one Lhasa ). I have purchased a set of Oster mini-max for faces, and just use scissors. Haven't tried clipper guards or diff. size blades, but the clippers paid for themselves the first usage. At $50 per dog, per groom, a $150 set doesn't seem so outrageous. Don't bother buying anything cheaper if you groom your dog on a regular basis and are trying to save money on a professional groomer. You'll end up buying a new set of clippers every year.

5 out of 5 stars Really good clippers   April 10, 2008

This is a really good set of clippers. I have a poodle mix with hair that you'd expect to see on a sheep! These clippers don't clog up and they are quiet too! A good investment if you have a dog that needs clipping.
